Best money I spent last year!

What a revelation! Whole foods cooking, with no eggs or sugar or processed ingredients. The recipes are simple and inexpensive. It was worth the cost of the book for the waffle recipes alone, that simply require you toss some nuts and oats and a few other ingredients into a blender, for perfect waffles that have flavor like you've never tasted! The fiber count is way up there so if you are not used to eating this way, be prepared. All the recipes are so simple, so convenient, and INEXPENSIVE! I made a batch of breakfast bars that do not include flour, sugar, eggs, hydrogenated fats or preservatives... they were delicious, and so CHEAP to make! If you are diabetic or getting there, you will love these recipes. I don't feel sick after eating any of the recipes out of this book. Bottom line: SIMPLE food, EVERYDAY ingredients, and if you are a vegan or vegetarian, this book will fit your lifestyle. I did not know this was "that kind" of book when I bought it, but it makes no difference to us... the flavors are wonderful, the food is healthy for us, and you can't beat how inexpensive some of these recipes (like the droolicious "banana breakfast cookies") are. We should have been eating like this a long time ago, and now we know how.
