Didn’t even finish

It was a frustrating book to get through. I’m honestly not even sure how it got as many ratings at it has. The author makes the main character insufferable by ramming her “type A” personality down our throats every page. I thought of the most annoying person I could think of, and that became the image of “danny”-the main character, for me. The author also describes NY very much like a tourist would which is funny bc the author lives in NY and LA. I’m assuming not from NY. I wasn’t routing for the main character nor was I wishing she’d fail, I just could not take any more of her, I found myself skipping lines just to finish the book. I hate leaving books unfinished but ultimately I gave up half way through. It wasn’t worth my continued time. It’s a short book which makes it all the more annoying that I couldn’t force myself to finish.

Meh.

I heard so many good things about this book, however I didn’t like it at all. It seemed so promising and then it just let me down. I had just finished a book my Mhairi McFarlane and her writing style is just much more enthralling to me. This book left me wanting more.

A good plot that took an unforgivable turn

This book seems so interesting by the synopsis. in my opinion, the FMC Was far too much of an unlikable character to feel anything but disgust for her. The overall story was great. I just wish the character development made the FMC a way more likable and respectable person.

This book is truly an amazing experience

I loved how seamlessly the book comes together. It goes to show how effortlessly the author can write time jumps

A pleasant read

I really liked the main character - Dannie - and her best friend Bella. Bella’s character evolved beautifully. This book was worth reading.

THE BEST BOOK of 2021

What an amazing story. I laughed, I cried. Not at all what I expected but everything that I didn’t know I wanted in a book about life, love and loss.
