How's your perspective?

This story engaged me, and at least once drew a visceral response as I identified with an immature character. As the book chronicles his journey, one is pleased to see Bird's progress. The contrast between his corporate world experience and his reaction to some rude boys on a passing train lingers, a year after reading the book. The surprising conclusion rings true, and is a reward for having joined in Bird's travels. The author, an aquaintance, shows courage to have significantly personified himself in his lead character. "In Bird's Eye" can lead one to take stock of self and face truth.
