This is a very good book. It has sections on programming, administrative buy in, setting up a program, measures, giving feedback, etc. A lot of books focus on the lingo, the 'need for quality' and measurement, giving only limited information on programs. This one concentrates on the latter. The chief drawback is that it is now dated. The references to JCAHO, NQCA, CARF etc. are severly outdated. It does not include some of the more up-to-date topics that might interest some readers. Nevertheless, the basics of a good program do not change. The other benefit to the book being dated is that, unlike some of the newer books, there are people offering used books at a much discounted price than the astronimical prices these kind of things usually have. So if you are looking for a book about what makes a good program, this would be a good one to purchase.
