This was my son's favorite book

Usbourne's Improve Your Survival skills was a favorite book of my son's. I used it often when I was looking for help with Cub Scouts and later, scouting. Written in an easy to understand way, with an emphasis on safety and responsibility, this book is a treasure trove of outdoor information. There are illustrations and very detailed instructions. What makes this book stand out is that it is written in a very straightforward manner, no talking down to the young reader. being in the outdoors is presented as an adventure and a challenge that can be met by the prepared youngster. A real must for any young camping enthusiast.....or anyone you hope to introduce to the wonders of the outdoors.
