Sar Ramadan's experiences in several different countries leaves an impression on the soul which is not easily forgotten. Ramadan is a philosophical searcher who asks large questions of the world. Ramadan catches glimpes of the answers to his questions when he is fully awake in the subtlety of the moment. He shows us that when we live in the present time we are brought back into our body...We are brought back into the 'truth' of our self. We see through Ramadan's eyes that only then can we feel the peace of the all-knowing Universal Mind.

Ramadan shares with his readers an intimate look into the mind and heart of man in search of his own place in the world. Each essay offers a glimpse into a fascinating life, but also reveals how similar we humans are in our quest for reconciliation of our own existence and our need for the inner peace that comes with finding our place in life's great mosaic. Ramadan's style is Mozartesque: simple, thematic and entertaining, yet somehow deeply moving and emotional. The recurrance of questions, thoughts and observations at critical points in Ramadan's life and career create a verbal symphony, providing the reader with a glimmer of hope that one can indeed find closure and satisfaction in a sometimes baffling world.

Really enjoyed this collection of essays. They present the thoughts and introspection of a seasoned man trying to make sense of many experiences, from war in the Middle East, to business in Europe and America, to his views on truth, honesty, courage, and God. Has great imagery and the depth of his feeling and thoughts leaps off the page. Try it, you'll like it.
