Improving the Productivity of Local Textile Enterprises

The purpose of this study was to identify the major cause of lowering productivity and improvement of Cultural fabric weaving enterprise's productivity. The study was conducted at four local Textile enterprises Hawassa Tabor and Mehale Ketema sub-cities. The enterprises were selected by purposive random sampling techniques from 16 enterprises. In this action research, structured interviews and field observation were employed to identify the major cause that significantly affected the productivity of weaving enterprises. The data were analyzed using mixed data analysis methods and used descriptive and narratives of realistic reporting style approaches. Based on the identified problem, analyzed data and the prioritized problem that cause the productivity of enterprises is associated with the warping process. So the researcher solved the prioritized problems using vertical warping frame Technology. Finally, based on observing the change of the enterprise implemented technology, solved the problem of 2 hours long time warping process to 40 minutes and improved the productivity of the Gamo weaving enterprise.
