Springer focuses her lens on objects that give meaningful to the lives of ordinary and extraordinary people. As usual, she manages to convey volumes in deceptively simple photographs. This book is simultaneously incisive and oddly gentle. A brilliant gift.

Life's little details

I stumbled upon this book while grieving for my mother-in-law, Anna, and it soothed the source of my pain. Within the context of simple words and beautiful black and white images, I was reminded that even the smallest of life's details have a place in someone's heart. I felt a sense of peace after reading this book because I now have a greater sense of appreciation for the little gifts that Anna gave to me and they are important to remember.
