When San Diego-based FBI agent and former Marine Gary Hayes got ready for work, he was planning an ordinary day at the office. When he arrived and after being told to report immediately to FBI headquarters in Quantico, Virginia, he knew this was going to be anything other than ordinary. After being briefed with the information headquarters received from a tip on an imminent terrorist attack in San Diego, he must go to the northern suburbs of Paris, the no-go zone, to authenticate the information from the estranged wife of the alleged terrorist. This information leads him to discover corruption and cover-ups in the government agencies dealing with immigration and identification as well as learning about four nuclear bombs in the hands of terrorists in the United States. What else he discovers along the way takes him and his tech partner, Mark, through three states and two countries, trying to neutralize the threat and catch the terrorist.
