Excellent resource for youth workers everywhere!

Impact contains such a wide variety of expert advice for youth workers, written by some world class veterans in youth ministry! I know firsthand that Steve Patty, Clark Blakeman, Gene Poppino, and Dave Schroeder are top-quality individuals whose hearts have been fully committed for decades to serving God by serving kids in need of a Savior, and the rest of the contributing writers are quite experienced and accomplished as well. The wisdom shared on these pages comes from countless hours of both studying the Bible and the lives of the kids that these men and women have worked with in a wide variety of youth ministries, both inside and alongside churches, in this country and overseas, within both military and civilian communities. Each chapter in this book is easy to read, full of personal examples, and these principles are easy to apply to anyone's youth group. I highly recommend Impact to anyone who disciples and cares about teenagers in their local church and community!

Youth Ministry Essential

No matter how far along one is in youth leadership I believe there is something that can still be obtained from this book. If one is has recently began or plans to begin youth ministry: much can be learned from this book. It a compilation of many experienced and brilliant (post) youth workers and professors, written for youth leadership. This allowed each person to write on their most knowledgeable subjects. Each chapter is a new topic that brings clear and helpful views on topics from worship to organization and planning and many other aspects of youth ministry. I would recommend this to any youth pastor and suggest that he have the sponsors read it also. I had Steve Patty as a proffesor and was amazed at his knowledge. I was not forced to lower my expectations and standards with his book.
