Having been a teen that suffered from this disorder, I have to say the author hit home with this book. The diary format, thought process & the language all are in perfect sinc with that age and give a clear insight to the convoluted mind of not only a teen (hard enough to do) but of a teen struggling with an eating disorder. Reading this book took me back to that time & reminded me of the internal struggle that goes on. I highly recommend this book to any teen or parent of a teen (especially) who is or knows someone who is affected by anorexia. Sometimes hard to read it in black and white but it may start to bridge the gap of "what are you thinking?" that, in my opinion, is the biggest hurdle towards healing.
