This is our story. My strong, independent mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. This is about how our lives changed and how I personally changed to care for our needs. It is so much more than just forgetting where you put your keys or forgetting someone's name. It's not just normal aging. The diagnosis of this disease is a death sentence. The world needs to become more aware of this horrible illness and what it encompasses.
