The star Xefolus slowly dropped below the massive Dome casting a shadow that stretched for miles along the crusted dusty surface containing millions of dried powdery human remains of Ciliea's Afta population. The Dome held over a million Afta humans dormant and cocooned in captivity. The Artificial Homo Trophic, known as AHT, had removed all major DNA strands leaving them with no response to stimuli, and condemned them to obliteration or salvation, whichever came first.
The Afta Council Brain remained at work within the Dome and searched for something that could revive the prisoners. As Xefolus slowly expanded time was running out. They desperately needed the correct their missing DNA and find a planet to make their own.
Then the unthinkable happened. A probe found a match that could develop on a lonely planet that circled a modest star called Daricloss. Again, the thought of sequencing with a primitive sapien was unthinkable, but it was their only chance, and they took it. The call went out to all dormant captives, but only one could respond.
