Linda Grekin has written the only book on this fascinating subject. I get lost everywhere and never understood why. Now I finally can make sense of my problem. She's a very talented writer, wise and witty. Give this book to someone you love who is always getting lost.
A must read for anyone who gets lost heading out the door.

Until I read this book I thought I was the only "directionally challenged" person around. Ms. Grekin's book helped me understand that this problem is not a reflection on my intelligence but rather an inability to "mentally rotate" items in order to see them from another direction. I am grateful to her for having written this book.
Why Do Some People Always Get Lost?
Published by Thriftbooks.com User , 27 years ago
Linda, with great humor and humility, explores the scientific & biological reasons why some people are "directionally challenged". This is a layman's book, not a scientific treatise, and points out that there hasn't been a lot of reseach into this, partly because we just tend to make fun of someone who gets lost. As someone semi-challenged, who knows people who could find their way out of Siberia blindfolded, and others who couldn't find their way out of a closet with a map, the best thing about this slender volume is a reminder that people who get lost aren't dumb, and it would help if we didn't treat them that way.
