II Corinthians: The God of All Comfort: An Inductive Bible Study on Chapters 1-3

II Corinthians is one of the least studied books in the New Testament, but it has a wealth of practical and theological insight! This study on the first three chapters moves slowly through the book to provide opportunity for meditating on the topics such as: suffering and comfort, how to interact with one's spiritual leaders, responding to criticism, boasting, discipleship, dependability, and the beautiful way God shares His glory with His people.

This is a six week inductive Bible study for women, including two weeks of introduction to the book as a whole. It is written from an evangelical, gospel-centered, and reformed perspective.Questions are a mix of observation, interpretation, and application. Each week gives special attention to the flow of ideas from section to section. Application questions encourage self-examination by the individual but also broader application to the local church and beyond. The book includes some cultural, historical, and linguistic background information, but the emphasis is on encouraging participants to become active and engaged observers of Scripture itself.

This is book one of a series that was written for the women's ministry of Park Hills Baptist Church in Austin, Texas.
