A young African-American technician discovers a contract breach at the Desert Chemical Weapons Depot. Unfortunately, before he completes his investigation he is murdered. His body, cash and cocaine are discovered in his apartment and the police conclude the murder was drug related

Dr. Smithfield, a prominent physician, cries foul play and rejects the notion that his son was involved with drugs. Bill McNamara, a seasoned detective is charged with the task of proving Dr. Smithfield's son was a drug dealer. McNamara clashes with Smithfield, but the weight of the real evidence forces McNamara to approach the case differently. Together, Smithfield and McNamara make an ominous discovery.
