Love it!

My son loves this book. He was looking through it at the library and showing it to all the kids there. One of the other kids tried to take it out instead of him. He told me fairies are real. He's enthralled by the cool changing pictures too. My son is 6, and he's understanding the poems a lot more than he did a year ago, but he still loved the book when we borrowed it from the library a year ago.

Wish I could see a Fairy Ring

If You See a Fairy Ring: A Rich Treasury of Classic Fairy PoemsOne of the most beautiful childrens book I have ever seen. It has unique folding pages that my 3 yr old granddaughter loves to study. The poems are a little difficult for her but perhaps she will grow into them in the meantime she is enjoying looking.

A Beautiful Book

My four year old daughter loves this book. She has asked to have it read to her at nap and again at bedtime for several days now. The pictures move when you open some of the pages - it is very clever. The poems are short and sweet and when combined with such pretty pictures I understand why any little little girl will treasure it.

Absolutely Magical

This was a delightful discovery. My little girl loves anything about fairies. I thought this might be a little over her head, but it has been requested by her nearly every day for 3 weeks. The picture changes are unique and absolutely beautiful, reflecting the correlating poetry. Who knew Laura Ingalls Wilder wrote fairy poetry?! It will also be a great book for penmanship practice. This is definitely a book to keep in your family and give to your child when she grows up for her own children.

Fun and magical. . .

This is a delightful anthology of fairy poems, with gorgeous illustrations that through clever cutting and engineering change as the reader turns the page. The poems are short to medium in length. Some are by well known authors, such as William Shakespeare and Laura Ingalls (never knew she wrote poems), and some more obscure authors, but all are well-written. This is a great bedtime book, that both children and adults will enjoy on a regular basis. Recommended for slightly older children (6 on up), since rough handling could damage the changing pages.
