This book is a collection of thoughts,quotes,ideas,inspirations,sayings,ancedotes,advice, encouragement and overall modivation.We all need to be reminded of what is important in our lives. There are numerous books of similar nature and many speakers who have compiled collections such as this. In this book Peter Legge gives us words of wisdom collected from a wide variety of sources. You will probably have heard or read many of them before,but they bear being read or heard again. This is the type of book that can't help giving you a lift or motivating you. I would be very surprised if you didn't find words of wisdom or advice between these covers ;that you heard from your parents,teachers or friends. Often books like this by motivation speakers emphasize being successful businessmen and leaders.Don't let that bother you,beacuse there are many different ways to measure success.Many immediately think of momey and fame;but those are far from being the only measures that really matter. While this book deals with a lot of the elements of success,it does not lose sight of life in general. Take this quotation for example; Keeping Life In Focus Focus on who you are rather than who you are not. Focus on what you have rather than what you lack. Focus on what you know rather than what you doubt. Focus on evidences God's presence rather than apparent evidences of his absence. Focus on health rather than pain. Focus on your abilities rather than your limitations. Focus on the future than the past. Focus on God as the source of life rather that on random circumstance. And these words from a grandmother; "Pray to God,but row away from the rocks." If you think you got a problem,or need a lift,this book will help.
