Did God give us a sense of humor? For nineteen years the late Art Linkletter, a Canadian-born American radio and television personality, produced a radio and TV game show called People Are Funny on the NBC network. Through the years I have thought about his programs and how true it is that people are indeed funny. Like any devoted husband, I take my wife to different places for her shopping sprees. On one such occasion, I was sitting on a bench in a busy mall, waiting patiently for Linda to finish, laughing to myself as I observed various people amble by. I don't know why, but I began thinking about some of the funniest things that have happened to me over the years of my ministry. As I reminisced, I took out a pen and notepad and began jotting down what I considered to be unique and amusing events. Before it was over, I had recorded about a dozen humorous occasions. Over time, the list expanded and the result is this book. The stories that I have dusted off are true-every one of them. A long time has elapsed since most of these events took place, and I have "dusted them off" in order to find the humor that lay dormant ...like a mummy in an Egyptian tomb, waiting to be resurrected. Now it is time for you to enjoy them. Did God give us sense of humor? You bet He did
