If I Were a Little Pumpkin

This is a children's book about how pumpkins grow. The pictures, images, photographs...they came from my own garden. I don't have a very big garden. I live right in the middle of a nice-sized town. I have just enough room to grow a nice little pumpkin patch that likes to ramble around the other vegetables and flowers. Last summer, I noticed that the children in my neighborhood were curious about the pumpkins growing in our backyard garden. I realized that they had never seen pumpkins growing The only pumpkins they were familiar with were the full-sized pumpkins available in the fall. They liked the way my pumpkins looked at different stages of growth. Those curious kids were my inspiration to create this book. There are many different kinds of pumpkins. They are easy to grow. The ones pictured in this book are a standard garden variety that are very hardy. I photographed the different stages of my garden pumpkins growth to share with other curious children. Pumpkins are actually pretty interesting plants They have beautiful flowers that the bees just love. I hope you enjoy this charming book.
