If I Built A Car is Terriffic for a child's imagination!

This is the first book by Chris Van Dusen that I read, and it became an instant classic in my family. When other kids come over this is our go-to book for reading out loud, and it holds the attention of young and old alike!!! My brother who was 10 when I first came across this book, loves the illustrations and his excitement for what comes next builds with every turn of the page. This book reminds us of the power of dreaming, and the importance of listening to our kids when they share their ideas for the future, no matter how BIG or CRAZY they made sound, because it's the big and crazy ideas that change our future. It inspired me to want to be the kind of parent that gives my kid a box of crayons and a free afternoon, and watch to see what they create. LOVE THE BOOK!
