It spoke to me!

I am 23 years old and a true advocated for education! I was amazed at how wonderful my Bishop did on this book! He kept it real and stated the facts! Anyone who would get mad at what is stated in this book is not and have not been real with themselves for a LONG time! I recommend this book to anyone and it is one of the few books on my collection I would read over and over again!

Phenomenal!!!

I am thankful and grateful to Bishop James Dixon for such a great work. We need to be challenged regularly to make these much needed changes in our community, starting with the man in the mirror. As I read small excerpts to my co-workers, many responded in shock, amazement and disbelief as I presented the facts of our current condition and predicament as a people. Watchmen, continue to cry aloud and spare not, and Lord open our eyes that we might see, is my prayer.

Convicting....

I am not an avid reader, but once I began reading this book, I could not put it down! It is a powerful and convicting book that should challenge and motivate everyone. Bishop Dixon stands strong and bring to print most of the things that everyone knows 'or thinks' and offers answers to the question. I really enjoyed Chapter 7, 'Our Battleships have become Cruise Ships: The Black Church'

Excellent book! I had a hard time putting it down. The information is alarming and eye opening. This book addresses issues that have long been ignored or swept under the rug and it address these issues head on. We've all thought it but have never said it outside of our inner circles. The most important part about the book is that it not only gives the alarming facts and statistics concerning Black America, it also gives real solutions.
