Do you know the freedom, hope, and power that comes attached to your identity in Christ? In the book of Exodus, we see God supernaturally delivering His people out of Egypt --the land of their oppression and slavery. Next, we see Him moving them through the Wilderness --the place where their faith was being tested and formed. Finally, we see Him leading them into their inheritance in the Promised Land --the place of abundance and blessing! In the same way, we have been supernaturally freed from our own "Egypt" --the place of our oppression and slavery to sin, through the blood of Christ. The victorious life that comes attached to our inheritance in our "spiritual Promised Land" --meaning the power that comes attached to our identity in Christ through the Holy Spirit living within us, promises us victory now! This victory is the "Spirit-filled" life! Yet, for most of us, this victory is not a daily reality. And through Christ's ascension to the right hand of the Father, the place of ultimate dominion, glory, and authority, you will find your victory! "Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God" - Hebrews 12:1-2
