Light hearted, easy to read and humorous.

From the title of this book, I thought it might be a bit of a "How to be happy with your life even though my husband just wants to sit on the couch and watch TV" book. However it's not like that at all. It addresses a lot of issues women have in life, from being a working mom to self image. It talks a lot about how most woman feel the same way on many of life's issues, but at the same time think they are the only one who feels that way. It has many constructive ideas on how to make life more productive and feel better about yourself while doing it. It's very easy to read and incorporates light hearted humor through out it as well. It's a good book and I think anyone would find something in it they can relate to.

Having three kids prompted buying this book

I purchased this for my wife. I thought that the title was humorous and that she would enjoy it. It is a very quick read - she finished the book in 2 days. She said it was insightful to how I think. After she said that I debated whether buying it for her was the smartest move on my part. But I found that as she and I talked about things she read it brought up some interesting conversations.

A Humorous Place to Start

I thought this read would be an amusing little book about being married with children. What it turned out to be was a marriage after children self help book. I have been married for over 15 years so I have read more than my fair share of this type of book and I consider myself finished. End of story...or so I thought :-) It took me a couple of chapters to realize this was a more serious book. It was easy to read and the information rang true so I continued. The authors took serious information and added just enough humor to make it interesting. I did not think there was anything ground breaking about the information in the book but it is one of the better books I have read on the topic. I will probably give this book with shower gifts in the future as sort of a "heads up".

Funny, witty, insightful and helpful

Writen with humor, yet serious in content, this book details what we all go through when 'kids happen'. I know I was not prepared for the changes that occurred after we had 3 children. The candid comments from peers, advice from experts, and voices of those who have been (or still are) "there" really helped me feel better about the challenges I was facing. Thanks Amy and Trisha!

This book really hit home for me. Brought me back home....

This book is a must read for Moms. Amy and Trisha navigate the wonders of "What happened to my marriage" by bringing us all together. Reading about what other Moms have said helps alleviate the burden of mothering and being a wife. We, Moms, go through the same things when the children come. Yet, no one really talks about the marriage part of it. It's supposed to be perfect, right? Well thank you Amy and Trisha - someone needed to get the real news out there. It's work and it's worth the work to keep your marriage happy. It's just a matter of lowering expectations and a bunch of other great things they said. Must read, helped me tremendously. :-)
