ICTS with CD ROM

This book is a great study guide to all aspects of the testing, including content covered, types of questions and format of the test. It also gives a great outline and suggestions for studying. It arrived within two days of ordering in great condition.

Test prep book

The pre test CD was helpful, but I wish that there was more than just one actual pre test. Taking the same test over didn't seem to give true results for me. One feature I really liked, though, was that it broke down each subject section to let you know how well you did in each section. Give yourself at least a few weeks to study the sections you are not comfortable with if you are having doubts!! Use elementary books for social studies, for example, because there is not one question on the ICTS that doesn't come directly from an elementary text other than the teaching methods questions. The book gives relevant information to study, and quite a few of the questions on the pre test prepared me for the real test.

Terrific Test -Prep for the ICTS

I think that this book is one of the most efficient, and easy to use testing guides I ever came across. Moreover, it comes with the CDROM to simulate the testing environment entirely. I recommend these book to all who is interested in taking the ICTS examine as well as the Basic Skills examine. Although. I haven't got the results of my test I know I passes and received a higher score than I would have if I didn't purchase this book. Koodoos to the REA staff for getting it dead on.

Trying to Pass The Test--two times

I liked the product. The Basic Skills section had a really good review. If you go through it from beginning to end you are likely to do very well--or at the very least get an excellent idea of what you need to review. The Middle School Exam section was also helpful, though much broader in it's review. You definitely need to get this book at least 30 days prior to testing so that you can review for the Middle School Content Exam. You could just follow the Illinois Board of Education's learning expectations, but the test books gives you specific information you need to look up. The answer key provides you with a pretty good explanation as to why the answer is correct. The CD provides you with two real-time, really timed tests that give you an excellent feel for how the test will run. All in all, I'd say its worth the money spent.

Great help

This book gives a number of great tips and has really good practice tests that make taking the Basic Skills test far easier, definitely a product worth purchasing if you intend to become a certified teacher.
