Ice and Ink (Clover Ridge Hockey)

By Andy Rogue

Beckett Boone has never met a door he couldn't charm his way through. Connor Doyle is the first person to shut one in his face.

A career-threatening injury has benched Beck in the last place he wants to be: a tiny mountain town where everyone knows everyone, no one cares who he is, and there's nothing to do but think. His plan is to recover quietly, keep things casual, and get back on the ice before anyone starts to question if he still belongs there.

When he wanders into Connor's tattoo shop wanting a walk-in appointment, Connor turns him down flat. The talented artist is booked solid for months, no exceptions, especially for whatever Beck thinks that smile is going to get him.

Beck isn't used to hearing no. He's even less prepared for someone who isn't impressed and who seems to see straight through the version of himself he's spent years perfecting.

He keeps coming back anyway. Connor keeps letting him -- which is its own kind of problem. The town's matchmaking residents, who have opinions about everything and shame about nothing, are delighted to help things along to make Connor and Beck Clover Ridge's latest gay love connection.

Ice and Ink is a cozy, low-angst MM romcom set in a meddlesome small town, with a sunshine hockey player, a grumpy tattoo artist who absolutely has a type, and a happily ever after that was probably inevitable from the moment Connor said no.
