This story is about an young man that wants to play football. As he goes through life experiences he learns that he wants to play for Michigan. Desire, however, is not enough to be part of any program. Fans, students, alumni and hopefully everyone will appreciate the interwoven stories derived from previous coaches and players as well as some historical references thrown in to assist in explaining some of the traditions. The journey includes what it takes to be a Michigan Football player. The life lessons help contribute to the overall persona demonstrating the physical, emotional, inspirational, and mental aspects required to be part of one of the greatest institutions in the United States. This body of work involved speaking with former players, current and past coaches, friends of Michigan Football, research, and personal experience.
