I Still Remember

"I dreamt of seeing you in some remote place nowhere near here... a place somewhere among the stars."

I have to admit, after meeting you, I realized there is and there will always be a story that causes nostalgia and a memory that will bring sadness even after the longest time. There's an instant that can change us for a lifetime; there's always something we hold on to forever, and someone we will never be able to forget, even when years and years have gone by. Specially if it's a person like him, a being so indescribably enchanting, who even has the power to impart the courage of the stars. This shows that the light carries on endlessly, even after death, resembling love.

I STILL REMEMBER is about the small, the magic, the mysterious, which makes life worth living. It's for those who believe in the truth of love. For those who are in love with the sky, the moon and especially with the stars.

I STILL REMEMBER is a novel written by a teenage author, a heartful short novel based on her true story: the story of a young, sensitive girl called Hazel. She was filled with melancholy and owned a vulnerable being. That was mainly due to the many teenagers in her school who had made her believe she was something she was not - a fool, a loser, a worthless human being.

Hazel was just a thirteen-year-old girl without much experience in life and love. The only sparkle of passion she had been able to feel was with someone who had broken her heart, something which made her believe that every romantic movie she had seen was just a foolish lie, an illusion. She had stopped believing in the light that was hidden inside, to know only melancholy and loneliness.

Time passed and the same lonesome days repeated themselves endlessly until she assumed they would never come to an end. Till one day, while she was enjoying her vacation in Italy, the thrill that everybody would deserve to feel was finally experienced by her. The moment she walked in the most magical place, the biggest and most opulent cruise ship in the world, she started feeling free, she began to feel pleasure again in everything she saw. But the most beautiful part of that magical journey was not all of that - he was. He was the finest, loveliest, tenderest and most wonderful being she had ever imagined meeting.

All she had read in dozens of books, all she had ever written and everything she had dreamt of, suddenly was right there; when she met a man she had never seen before... except in her fantasies. A love that could have filled all the oceans in the planet and all the trees in the forests. And despite of the vast darkness she had once felt before, she knew she had triumphed, just by having found him, just by looking at his eyes. She told him how much she loved him and kissed his soft skin hundreds of times, only to find out eventually, much later in life, that he was not much more than just an illusion.
