I Never Imagined a Pen Would Change My Life

By Mitchell Holland and Barbara Jeanne Fisher

A Pen Flew Across the Room and a Friendship Took Flight

A single moment in a classroom-a tossed pen-sparked a lifelong friendship that neither Barbara Jeanne Fisher nor Mitchell Holland could have predicted. What began as a story of a dedicated teacher and a spirited eighth grader grew into something much deeper: a bond rooted in faith, kindness, and shared life experiences.

Told from both perspectives, this touching memoir celebrates the power of connection, the value of mentorship, and the unexpected ways lives intertwine across generations.
