MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK
I Miss School by Ryan Reaves is an adorable book by an adorable six year old little girl. It’s more of the thoughts the little girl missing school. The cute and vibrant colors of the illustrations tell the story along with a bubble in the middle of the illustrations with a little girl’s thoughts on her wishes to return to school after a long pandemic cause by a deadly virus. Children everywhere can relate to the feelings of this child, because so many children had the same feelings while they were at home. As the world heals and the restrictions are lifted, this little book can be a reminder of what we faced during that difficult time. This is a good book to have on hand to encourage children to strive to learn even more now that they are back in the classrooms, and it will be a great reminder of 2019 and 2020 and what the country faced. This one is four stars for me.
