I Married A Cannibal is a black comedy short story that tells the tale of a man who finds himself married to a cannibal. The story uses dark humour to be a social commentary about our current state of affairs, our culture of appeasements and the compromises we as a society are willing to give in order to accommodate a certain group of people or a certain ideology. How far are we willing to go? For how long are we willing to appease? How much are we willing to compromise? The husband stands for our liberal societies and the cannibal wife is the woke movement. He appeases and compromises until the bitter end. He gives and gives and gives while she takes and takes and takes, and no matter how much he gives her, she'll never have enough. She'll always want more and more and more. She'll always look for more compromises and more appeasements until he runs out of comprises to make. It's a cautionary tale of how we'll never be able to win if we keep compromising and appeasing because the wokes will then take more and more and more, until we've got nothing left to give.
