If you like sporting novelty sweaters, dipping everything in ranch dressing, smothering your home with sunflowers and white wicker, and eating top-notch dinners at Cracker Barrel, then you might be a Midwesterner (or at the very least you should move to the Midwest as soon as possible). Chock full of things that Midwesterners love the most, I Love Ranch Dressing reveals the quirky tastes and characteristics of our favorite heartland residents. With good-natured fun and plenty of hilarious "authentic" photos, this real-life encyclopedia of Midwesterners will have you snorting with laughter whether you live in the Midwest or not
Every page I read reminded me of lots of people here in KS. I love the one about "free refills", lol. It's true if I go to a restaurant w/o free refills I feel soooooooo wronged. I also loved the "mall bangs" and I know more than a few people who say tor-TILL-A. Get this book if you want to have a few laughs.
Who knew you could have a ranch dressing waterfall for dips!!? Awesome!

I counted 53 instances where I am in agreement with the book. I thought a couple were stretching, but I assume there are some regional differences. We don't really have Bob Evans around Illinois where I am familiar with, but we do have Famous Dave's barbeque. Hey, what about Long John Silvers. My wife (Californian) claims that there are no Long John Silvers in California. Maybe only Midwesterners eat deep fried cod with extra crumblies (greese bits left over).
I heart this book as much as my ranch dressing
