This Red Headed Boy, Really Loves Cats!

I like mice. I think they're nice. But I love cats. I like cows. We could be pals. but I love cats. -- And so it goes. This little red headed boy likes lots of different kinds of animals, but he really, really loves cats in this Rookie Reader book that is just perfect for your pre-schooler. He or she will learn to associate animals with words and the words will be driven home by Tom Dunnington's excellent illustrations. I like all the Rookie Reader books. They are just a great way to get a little pre-schooler started on his or her reading career. And an early start is so important in today's world. Children need every advantage they can get, so if you're a parent or guardian of a precious little one, I highly recommend Rookie Reader books. The dividends they will pay in the long run will be priceless.

I Love Cats

I use this book with my Kindergartners when learning the sound for beginning "C". The children love the predictable and repetitive nature of the book. They can read it themselves only after a few times through. This book makes a great introduction for a week's worth of cat activities!
