Maybe when selling a book take off the price tag that you bought it at. I was charged roughly $7 more than what they purchased at… sticker price was 1.99.

Don't Stay Sad

Having lost my sweet son at 8 years old, followed by the loss of my brother and mother, which paled to loosing Benji, I have known grief. It is encouraging to read of someone who has in the midst of great loss found a path to freedom from living a sad life. Someone who unconventionally creates a path for herself and others to going on in life. I especially like her conclusions at the end of each chapter. You can see progress. No one wants to be sad for the rest of their life and I sense Kathy Sheppard is not going to allow that to be the case for her. A hopeful and encouraging book. This is not a how to book, but you can get direction and ideas of how to begin to obtain freedom from sadness.

The many faces/phases of loss and grief

Beyond a doubt, an easy read for a very tough subject. A shunned topic, the author faced grief with overwhelming fear but did not allow it to conquer her. Through God's mercy, she found healing. She delightfully shares her heart and message of hope in a writing style that makes you feel like you are right there with her. It will touch your soul, even if you have not yet personally experienced love, loss, and grief. Loss comes in many different faces and phases of our lives. This book offers practical applications for everyone (reference Chapter 12 "P.S.Oops...Did I say that?") that could only be known by someone who has walked in the shadow of deep sorrow.
