Terrific entertainment

A Great entertaining book which also lets you dream as you travel through history!! A best Kept secret and I agree with the other readers it would be a great movie or TV series..Imagine the characters!

A great escape!

This book grabbed me by the eyeballs and wouldn't let go. Its imaginative premise takes you to the richly textured world of J. Jeremiah Jefferson III, where fantasy meets reality, fictional characters interact with historical figures, and "conventional wisdom" and "political correctness" get turned on their heads by tell-it-like-it-really-is J3. The dialog just crackles -- I dare you to read this and not laugh out loud at least a dozen times. The characters are so memorable -- Alfonso Sanchez, Charlie Grutwilder, Mike Castle, Mr. Solomon, Don Padrone, Rosalia Gatos, and of course J3. The book is meticulously researched for historical accuracy -- its footnotes alone would be a valuable addition to any class in Latin American history. Read this book. You will not only enjoy a great escapist adventure, you will learn some fascinating, little-known history.J3 for president!

A great read! Laugh out loud funny and a painless way to learn history. I loved every word and could not put it down. It really is nice to read a book that is fun and informative and that doesn't talk down to the reader. J'3 is my new hero.

This humorous, dramatic, and touching story is an excellent account of historical events with a creative, interesting twist. The authors take the readers on a great adventure to San Felipe, a place anyone would gladly escape to if give the chance. I'm looking forward to reading the sequal.
