I Know an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly has been written, sung, and illustrated in numerous variations. This folktale's cumulative and predictable nature makes it easy to read (or sing) again and again. The Old Lady's logic is rather humorous as she swallows a larger animal to catch the previous one, and thus creates quite a food chain. This particular telling of the story is how my mother sang it to me as a child (tickling as she read "...that wriggled and jiggled and tickled inside her").
