HOW TO READ GREEK FROM ? TO ? As you read this book, you may be amazed by how much Greek you already know! You are reading a 2500 year old language used by the earliest Christians living during the Roman era. You may be taking a leap of faith, as did the Apostle Paul in the year 35 A.D. Awaiting you is a story of a child named Timothy and delightful dining on "The Fruit of the Spirit." But first study your Greek! The Greek alphabet begins with an ??(ALPHA) and ends with an ??(OMEGA). Greek writing reads from left to right, or forward from the western point of view. It contains all the vowels we know today as well as a few blended sounds as single letters. Nearly all 150 words are presented with both Greek and English examples from letters either written by the Apostle Paul to Timothy or co-authored by Timothy. Most of the Greek words are referenced by The New King James Version [NKJV]. Selected English words are boxed with The New American Standard Bible [NASB] used as the primary reference. All of the underlined words used in this primer are also defined and cross-referenced by The New Strong's Complete Dictionary of Bible Words. Syllables are divided with a dash, and accents are shown by an apostrophe. The in-text Greek words are in root word form for easier learning. The indexed words in bold and the *footnotes may lead you to even more adventures in faith!
