Lawrence Carroll (b. 1954) is an Australian-born American artist whose work has been featured in major exhibitions around the world. Born in Melbourne, Carroll moved to California with his family in 1958. Some 25 years later, in 1984, he moved to New York to pursue his artistic development, with little concern for the fashions of the moment but a profound sense of personal commitment and dedication to the language and practice of painting.
