"I Guess I'm an Adult Now" is a fiction novel about an entire year of the 17-year-old Kyle's life. Starting from his last semester of high school before graduation, and ending in the period between high school and university, in which he was horrified after realizing he actually became an adult, and attempted to figure out what it all meant. Having never thought about what his next step would be, he struggles to try and find the most apt subject for him to pursue in his future, while he deals with several incidents which instigate the occurrence of a handful of dilemmas between his vibrant group of friends, his demanding teachers and his large and insane poetry-obsessed family. The novel presents 12 chapters of Kyle's life in prose, each ending with a poem recited by Kyle himself or any of his family members, after being struck with any intricate wave of emotion...
