At a later time, Tevin finds himself reminiscing, in retrospect, about an extremely dark period in his life, with eerie events that take their course over the extent of one night, in particular, in which he makes an escape that is perhaps much needed out of utter despondency. He ends up beating a hasty retreat from his residing abode with the hopes of somehow figuring out a way of winding himself down of all his emotional distress, but what is intended to be a simple yet purposeful nocturnal getaway instantly takes a turn for the worse and actually becomes life-threatening for Tevin when he gets confronted by terrifying comeuppances that were not in any way in his anticipation.
