This book is a collection of the author's poetry along with her personal story and letter to her abuser. Some of these poems were written several years ago and are a raw glimpse into the author's thoughts while dealing with the aftermath of childhood abuse. If you can relate, please know you are not alone. Imagine someone hurts you as a child so bad you don't know what to do. So you place this secret in an imaginary glass jar on an imaginary shelf in the back of your mind, hoping to forget. Sometimes a memory or two will browse by the shelf, but they proceed with caution to not disrupt it. Then, one day something happens in life that causes the glass jar to fall off the shelf and break. You scramble to clean up the pieces and the mess they made. However, when cleaning, you fail to obtain the smaller bits of glass. You realize you need to deal with the issue you have long avoided.
