I Don't Know How to Help Them

Ms. Maurer's book is one of the most valuable resources I have found in working with families who have suffered the loss of a loved one. As a Victim's Advocate, I am often asked by family and friends what they can do to help. This book is full of wonderful suggestions and ideas, especially helpful in a time when there may often be few answers to difficult questions. Ms. Maurer's personal tragedy has ultimately produced a beautiful gift to others who find themselves faced with the loss of a loved one, and those around them who truly want to know what they can do to help. Written in an easy-to-read, yet eloquent style. Highly recommended.

Very helpful book for everyone

Losing someone is extremely hard, and this book sheds some light on what kind of things can be expected. Whether you have lost someone close to you or know someone that has, it is very helpful. After reading this myself, I gave it to a friend who had lost someone close, the appreciation that my friend expressed for it was an indication that others also found it helpful. Just wanted to pass it along to everyone else out there who has lost someone, or knows someone who has.
