This is the fourth installment in the I Cant Rap so I Write Poetry series. This book is a taboo poem book that expresses the the emotions from the perspective from an African American young adult as he navigates his decisions, consequences from his past to his present. After much growth and deliberation he opens up about the other experiences such as financial and career while still showing the side that made him start writing. Trauma with healing, death with life and heartbreak with love these two sides exist both because without pain there is no joy. Men's mental health and rasing awareness is rarely talked about but for Travon he takes his heart and pours it into these pages, with raw feelings of pain, love, anger and of course joy. I hope you can connect with one of these poems that can shed some light on the darkness that you are walking through or peace that you are searching for. I'm excited for you to join me on this jouney.
