I came to love you late

I read this book 20 years ago. Now I did it again. It is just as uplifting and wonderful as it was. I am older, wiser and gave me even more meaning than ever. I will not wait another 20 years to read it again.

Excellent!!!!!!!

I have read this book twice and it is still my favorite book/story. A lot of religious stories do not seem very realistic, but this one did. I felt that this actually did take place and that I was there. I could feel the love for Jesus and how extremely lucky it would be to actually have him as a friend and a savior. To have him standing next to me, having human contact, with an audible conversation and a sence of humor. I was able to see Mary and Martha as real people, not just characters I have read in the bible - but real women with human feelings and emotions. How wonderful it would be to be able to find a husband that was Jesus like - that would be such a blessing on earth.

Martha was always too busy taking care of her sick brother and the household to have time to get to know Jesus, until it was almost too late.

This is a wonderful book!

This story of Martha is inspiring to any Christian woman! It not only shows her great faith and how she followed Jesus, but the everyday struggles that women still face in their faith today. It was AWESOME!
