Great Title By Chip Ingram

"I Am With You Always: Experiencing God In Times Of Need" by Chip Ingram is a great read for the person who is experiencing certain issues in life and needs assurance that things will eventually be okay. Ingram divides the book into 7 different topics and an appropriate Psalm for each one: 1. When You Get A Raw Deal (Psalm 73) 2. In Times of Crisis (Psalm 23) 3. When You Feel Like A Nobody Going Nowhere (Psalm 139 - a particularly good chapter) 4. When You Are Troubled And Depressed (Psalm 77) 5. When You Are Gripped By Fear (Psalm 46) 6. When You've Blown It Big Time (Psalm 51) 7. In Times of Confusion (Psalm 90 - another really good chapter) In each chapter Ingram illustrates an example from either his own life or someone else and shows how God may minister to us in the particular situation, either through reading His Holy Bible or a direct intervention. The book is a smooth read that will encourage you when you are down and remind you that God loves you no matter what you do. However, Ingram also does address the reality of sin (either our own or the sin of others) and how it can affect our lives. If we are holding on to sin, we need to confess it and give it to God to handle. Highly recommended!

Same book with a different title

While this is a very good book, please be aware that it is the same book as the Chip Ingram book titled "Finding God When You Need Him Most". I ordered both, and was disappointed to find they were exactly the same!
