Spider-man stunt-man's journey behind the movies

If you're a fan of the Spider-man movies and the MCU, you will enjoy this behind-the-scenes journey. Before many fans dreamed of being discovered cosplaying as Spider-man, Scott Leva was one of the paid actors who got to appear as Spider-man for Marvel Comics. Appearing in parades, commercials, videos and other photo ops as Spidey, Scott was also a trained actor with many credits on IMDB and eventually was in the running to play Peter Parker for the first big screen version of Spider-man in the 1990s. While some fans know that story of how Cannon's ill-fated movie eventually got made with Tobey Maguire in the lead, Scott fills us in on what it's like for an "unknown" actor in Hollywood. Though he went on to win an Academy Award for his stunt innovations, we also get stories that are very different from the fluff interviews on talk shows about Scott's highs and lows - both personal and professional. An honest, inspiring read for any actor.
