Opening in present day Andrei Balan tells us his story in his own words, of his home in medieval Romania and how he has finally found the love of his life. He soon realizes that it's not disease that's causing her bedridden state, but an evil presence that has set his sight on his beloved to claim as his own. Andrei takes us through his pain and horror and the battle of his life trying to save his own soul.
