My name is Sophia Scholl. Before the outbreak of WWII, my beloved Germany was threatened by the rise of Adolf Hitler and the National Socialist Party. My brother, Hans and I were young patriotic members of the Hitler Youth. But we grew disillusioned with Hitler quickly. Together with many others, Hans and I formed the White Rose movement, wrote leaflets calling on our fellow Germans to stand up to the Nazis and defend our homeland. My brother Hans was 24 and I was 21 when we were caught, tried, and executed by the Gestapo.This is our story.
