I Am: I AM What My Mother Told Me

Father, Please bless me. Help me be a good boy. Please watch over my mother and bring her home. Father I love you. I need you. Your son, Kenji. This was my prayer. Every night as little boy, growing up in S.E. DC. My mother, whom had me at the age of 17, maybe I was 3, and she was 20. I can't recall the night, but it was a night, a very special night, when my mother taught me how to pray, and possibly the first prayer I learned, was Our Father, a prayer that goes, Our Father, Who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy Name, thy Kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth, as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily...I can hear my mother's voice, I remember my eyes, like a dear in head lights, like I was hearing something magical, mystic, and mysterious, My mother taught me about God, and who he was, the most powerful being. My mother told me that, I came from him, and I believed her literally. As if God placed me inside of her womb and she birthed me, and she was a custodian of me, but I truly belonged to him. This is what my mother told me. My mother also told me through my life that my name, Kenji, meant, a gift from God, my mother also told me that, others can do the wrong thing and get away with it, but not me, she said I can't, that my father has a plan for me, and because of all these things that my mother has told me, I have lived my life as I am God's son. I have lived my life, adoring and loving Jesus, knowing that he was my father in the flesh. The below words and poems, are my intimate thoughts, conversations and reflections, my words are a personal insight into my personal relationship with my father; thoughts, between father and son.
