The story begins with the world in a state of chaos. The backdrop is the small town of Glory. The town is in the pathway of the threat. The town is ready for the attack. However, a group of fourteen were expelled from the larger group to fend for themselves.

Joseph and Anna are the elders within the group. Joseph is a retired cop with bad health and Anna is his stay-at-home wife who lives under the rule of her husband. She was taught to always honor her husband...even if he is a beast. Together they opened their home and provide resources to build their home into a fortress against the upcoming attack, but they are hiding a secret.

Brent and Brownie Foster have lived a hippie lifestyle. They loved the simple life of living off the land. And it worked for them and their five children until now. But will it be enough to keep them safe or will their strong foundation of protection crumble around them?

Ruth, a single mother of four children were left with a large sum of money. The group is not aware the getaway money is stolen drug money. Drug money with the owner is pursuit.

Dawn saw herself as the foster child no one wanted. She had to learn to adapt quickly, so her special gift is the art to survive any situation. Which can be a good trait, except Dawn will do anything, even sell out anyone, to survive. And now she has found herself penniless and pregnant. This makes Dawn desperate.

In order to make it through, every adult member must use whatever God-given gift necessary to survive the on-slaughter, but the lack of trust could leave them vulnerable to the possibility that no one will survive.

The story takes an unexpected turn.
